About the release
Sonnant was at that time (forty-two years ago), and it is still today (perhaps even more so, which is a real historical-musical paradox!?!), truly contemporary (avantgarde?/modern?) and in the true sense New Music.
All the parameters of music that we can follow and that allow us to shed light on the structure and even the essence of that composition (choice of pitches — melody / harmony / choice of degrees of loudness — dynamics / choice of values of note duration — rhythm / choice of manner of performance — articulation), are certainly “anchored” in the sea of the rules of the time, standards and conditions that had to be met by those composers who wanted to enter the temple of the “avantgarde” with their music.
