…An opponent of the Romantic mindset and a true innovator in the language of composition, Ruždjak brought order to emotion in his works. Employing the most advanced and highly individual compositional techniques, he continually explored the relationship between modernity and tradition, never losing sight of his profoundly human voice. Rather than relying on overtly personal sentiment, he sought expression through the intrinsic expressive power of the musical material itself, exploring its possibilities to their fullest extent.
The edition was edited by Darko Petrinjak, while the preparation and production of the programme notes were undertaken by G.A.D. PRODUKCIJA (Croatian/English).
