Marko Radmio: Kao u snu
CD
About the release
To the public, Marko Radmio was a private person, somewhat shy and withdrawn. He would appear at concerts of contemporary music, and only his rapt gaze could betray the passion that seemed to overwhelm him more than anything else. Lexicographers record that in the 1930s he tried his hand at theatre as an organiser, director and actor, and from 1940 to 1945 he was also known to the public as a publicist. In the period after his retirement, Radmio only appeared a few times as a writer, testifying to the local avant-garde flare-ups, such as the Contemporary Music Ensemble and the ACEZANTEZ ensemble, which occupied his attention. Eventually, the public also got to know Radmio as a composer. Admittedly, only exceptionally at concert occasions, but nevertheless – thanks to the zeal of Dubravko Detoni, perhaps the greatest admirer and expert of Radmio’s music – several of his compositions were recorded and broadcast on Croatian Radio. Most of the compositions on this CD were performed and recorded at his instigation. (Dalibor Davidović, excerpt from the CD booklet)
