The recordings presented on this album document a process of research and a flow of thought that, in its continuous development, seeks to grasp the uncertain and shifting nature of improvisational expression. The conceptual framework lies in the exploration of new possibilities for sound creation, free improvisation, and the ways in which interpersonal relationships shape the emergence of spontaneous modes of musical expression.

Improvisation, as a creative social practice, offers a wide spectrum of possibilities. It serves as a point of departure for research that urges us to move beyond the imagined boundaries of our actions and thoughts. Both the musician improviser and the listener are invited to set aside previously formed aesthetic judgments and institutionalized forms of knowledge in an attempt to reach a transient state of being, an almost ritual connection with subconscious elements that open the path to improvised expression.
In this sense, improvisation reveals an openness to otherness, to externalization, and to continuous self-transcendence. Through this process, we remain in constant communication with ourselves, with the tradition of our ancestors, and with the progress of our contemporaries.

The sounds that emerge from these interactions fulfill a particular need that extends beyond the purely musical. The sense of occasion and its associated ritual function represent an attempt to create a microcosm of a distinctly localized form of traditional music.
