With true joy and enthusiasm, he embarked on the adventure of preparing his debut album, whose title is Il piccolo catalogo dei sospiri, inspired by Berislav Šipuš’s composition. A courageous and commendable artistic undertaking, this album presents the violinist in themost exposed of settings: alone with his instrument, his skill, inventiveness, and curiosity. Martin Draušnik has plenty of all of this in him, as evidenced by this first edition, whichbrings the musician’s thoughtful cross-selection of Croatian musical creativity dedicated to solo violin, with works by Milko Kelemen, Marko Ruždjak, Miroslav Miletić, Berislav Šipuš andMiroslav Šlik, framed by the pieces by Pavle Dešpalj, as a valuable musical document and a pledge for the future.
