About the release
Communication and collaboration between performers and composers are among the key factors in the success of numerous musical works. It was precisely at the instigation of the musicians that a series of compositions featured in this release, the second in a series dedicated to Croatian contemporary piano literature was created, and performed by pianist Mija Elezović.
One such composition, inspired by this pianist, opens the program, which brings together six composers of distinct profiles and diverse poetics. Their works are nevertheless connected by certain shared determinants and elements. Sometimes through a musical gesture, more often through thematically related ideas in the descriptions of the compositions, and at times simply through a particular approach to the instrument.
